Message I am a fairly new Z owner seemingly compared to the veterans or the guys that seem to flame at a drop of a hat. Every Z owner I've spoken to in person seem too all agree: the guys on here are quick to judge and therefore they are timid to post.

That being said, my first post was a question about "what rims are these?". I refreshed my page to see if anyone had responded and low and behold it became a double post. I don't know how it happened nor did I mean for it to happen. I've posted on numerous forums and have never reposted accidentally. The first responses were flames directed at me personally for a double post as if I were an idiot or impatient.....again I did not do it on purpose....this website does appear to be a little dated. This was deleted by the admins: thanks.

Then when someone replied to the "other" post, it went something like this: I don't know what rims those are. Rims are the part of the wheel that the tire bead seat upon. If your refering to those wheels, I think they are blah blah blah.

That is when I decided to just read the posts and not participate......

The sad thing is, I am excited about my Z. I am going to restore it the best my time and pocket book will allow. I confer mostly with Greg Dupree of Specialty Z (I know some of you know whom "Greg" would be if I only posted his name but some may not) and purchase from him as well. I have had great experiences with him and Seb and will continue to do business with them. I drove several hours to meet them in Kansas City for a tuning session. I have attended a local event, Branson Z fest, and have been to Z-nationals in the Atlanta area at Z1 Motorsports. I have had good relations with Z1 as well. Concept Z has helped me out and I will be buying from them in the future. All of this in about a years time. Some love one company and hate another and will drop kick you verbally if you disagree.

My Z will be running a Haltech of which I plan to do most of the tuning myself with the help of Specialty Z, 2200cc injectors, E85, JWT 500 cams, adjustable cam gears, twin fuel pumps, nitros, big turbos, everything TwinZ makes, new paint, Etc... But, I don't intend to share much on here because of the flamers.

Every Z owner/lover I have met in person has been excited to share their Z quest and are not like the few search-repost-judmental flamers that seem to troll this great wealth of information. If those guys would remember back when they took the first spark plug or belt off of their Z then maybe they would be a little easier on everyone.

I am 42 years old, a service manager and factory tech for a predominate powersports dealership and have been for the last 18 years. Before that, I built race engines for stand up Yamaha's that placed as high as second on the Budweiser/ESPN Pro Tour in the pro class (second to Jeff Jacobs, the winningest rider in the sport). We raced on a minimum wage budget and beat all but one factory team. I race RC cars in the pro class and my accomplishments have awarded me a great chassis/engine/electronics sponsorship. I know what the difference between a rim and a wheel is, you don't have to explain....

And yes, I just flamed the flamers!
